George Peabody Elementary is Counting on You!
For all its wonders, California consistently ranks near the bottom of per-pupil funding in the country, forcing its public schools to seek out extra resources to ensure a high quality education for their students. George Peabody Elementary School is no different. We depend heavily on our families, friends and community partners. With the exception of our time in distance learning, our community has logged nearly 5,000 parent volunteer hours and raised over $400,000 per year, bridging the gap between state and local funding and the resources needed to give our students the excellent education they deserve.
Thanks to the generous investment and involvement of our community, our PTA is proud to fully or partially fund the following staff members and resources for the 2024-25 school year:
ADDITIONAL TEACHERS & STAFF
Student Advisor & Community Relations (Ms. Aileen) serves as the SCC president, runs the student leadership club, coordinates caregiver volunteers, greets special ed bus riders, helps at recess + lunch and more -- always with a smile.

Peabody Works Program (Coach Dan) provides support through class game time, Friday running club, and the Jr. Coach program.
Language and Literacy Teacher (Ms. Brownstein-Lum) provides both individual and group instruction to students needing extra support.
